Privacy Policy
Last updated June 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Wet Papers (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Wet Papers (the “Service”). We know this is sensitive — we aim to collect only what we need to run the Service and to keep it private.
1. Information we collect
- Account — your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
- Profile — anything you choose to add about yourself (display name, pronouns, preferences) to personalize your companions.
- Content — the messages you send, photo requests, and any companions you create, so the Service can respond and remember context.
- Usage — product events such as which companions you open, message and photo counts, and timestamps, used for analytics and to enforce plan limits.
- Payment — handled by our payment providers. We receive confirmation of a successful payment and your plan; we do not store your card numbers or crypto wallet credentials.
- Technical — essential cookies for your login session and security (CSRF), plus basic request metadata.
2. How we use information
- To provide the Service — generate companion responses and images, and maintain your history and a companion’s memory.
- To process subscriptions and enforce plan entitlements.
- To keep the Service safe — automated and human moderation to detect and block prohibited content.
- To understand and improve the product through aggregate analytics.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
3. AI processing
Your messages and the relevant context are processed by AI models (run on our own infrastructure and/or trusted compute providers) to generate responses and images. We store this content to provide conversation history and memory, and you can clear a conversation at any time from within the chat.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that host our database and infrastructure and run our AI compute, under confidentiality obligations.
- Payment processors to take payments and manage subscriptions.
- Authorities where required by law, or to investigate and prevent the prohibited content described in our Content & Safety policy.
5. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and security. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
6. Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data, subject to limited retention required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can delete your account and data from Settings, or contact us at support@wetpapers.com to exercise your rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including hashed passwords, encrypted transport, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit what we collect.
9. Children
The Service is strictly for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the Service, contact us immediately at support@wetpapers.com and we will act promptly.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
11. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
